Optical Assistant (Domiciliary).Trainee or experienced.

Training will be provided

In this position you will be out and about in the community, driving within the Warwickshire area. You'll be providing domiciliary eyecare to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Your main Optical Assistant responsibility will be to provide support to the Optometrist when visiting patients in their own homes.

This will include:

  • Carrying out handovers with the Optometrist
  • Being able to provide a personalised dispensing service to each patient you meet.
  • Guiding patients through our offers & products to ensure the right choice.
  • Selecting frames, dispensing single vision, bifocals and varifocals.
  • Setting up testing equipment
  • Fitting and adjusting glasses

Customer care is high on our agenda, so you must love dealing with our more vulnerable members of the community. The optical training would be provided.
