Qualified Dispensing Optician

This role will be joining a well-established independent group of 3 practices however, you will be based in one practice where they require a Dispensing Optician to join their team. The company has been established for over 50 years and still going strong due to quality customer service, comprehensive eye examinations and professional advice.

o Monday to Friday – 9am to 5:30pm
o Based in one practice, close to Bath
o Free parking
o Competitive salary – up to £30k + Bonus (approx. £2k per year)
o Progression opportunities in either management or clinically (for example low vision, myopia or CLO)

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

This role will be based in one of their practices on a full time basis.
Although this role will mainly be Monday to Friday, they may require 1 Saturday per month (9am to 1pm)
You will be dispensing to a range of patients from children to the elderly and will have a wide range of products, frames and lenses available at a patients request
You will be working alongside an Optometrist and two receptionists in a relaxed environment, where you can take time to focus on providing quality customer service and eye care to all patients.
You will also be required to do pre-screening, contact lens teaches as well as admin/ reception responsibilities.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

You must be GOC registered an up to date with CET points (open to experience)
Be able to provide excellent customer service
Have a positive attitude and warming personality along with a passion for optics
Be able to work individually and as part of a team
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

o A competitive salary of up to £30,000 basic.
o A monthly bonus based on hitting targets (Approx £2,000+ per annum)
o 5 weeks holiday + Bank Holidays
o Monday to Friday
o Free parking
o Progression opportunities in either management or clinically (for example low vision, myopia or CLO)
