A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Qualified Dispensing Optician on a full time, permanent basis in a very busy practice in Plymouth. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.
This practice is situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
You will be working in a large and busy store with 15 test rooms and 80+ members of staff on their payroll. You will be surrounded by a very supportive and close-knit team, who all work together to support each other, are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician
Each Qualified Dispensing Optician in practice will primarily be dispensing to all levels, as well as having a secondary role in practice to help add variety and support ranging from being a Contact Lens Supervisor (focussing on teaches and direct debits), a Clinical Assistant (pre-screening and overseeing patients going in for tests). You will also be involved in frame styling, adjustments, collections and giving patients advice.
Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician
As a Qualified Dispensing Optician within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team. You will be able to dispense spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and perform contact lens teaches. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general troubleshooting. As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.
Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician
For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £25,000 dependant on your experience is on offer, along with a company benefits, 5 weeks holiday, paid fees and ongoing training a development. You will also have the opportunity to join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
