I am working with an independent client who is recruiting an optometrist who can be flexible with working both in clinic and external visits.
For this role, you must be a driver with a clean driving license.

Their business is growing and as such requires permanent optometrists to service this increase in customers.

The owners and senior team have a combined industry experience of over 60 years in the optical market, with 40 years specifically working in the domiciliary field, supporting individuals living with dementia.

Optometrist role

If you are looking for a change and would like a mixed role with some days away from the practice which offers more diversity and freedom in your working day, then this is the ideal role for you.
It will allow you the opportunity to put your skills to the test and make a real difference in the quality of the patients’ lives and help and support a local community. A sympathetic approach is required as well as an excellent patient manner due to the nature of the requirements of the patients.
They have made significant investments in state-of-the-art eye testing equipment which enables innovative techniques to complete an eye examination.

The requirements of the Optometrist

As an Optometrist, you will spend your time on various aspects of meeting your customers’ needs precisely and competently with high levels of knowledge and strong competencies.
They require someone with an excellent chairside manner and clinically driven. You will be able to adapt your testing times to the environment, and specific needs of the patient with a strong handover ability to ensure the customer’s needs are taken care of as well as the needs of the business.
*Can consider three-to-five-day contracts to suit your needs

Compensation for the Optometrist

The salary package is competitive up to a £50,000 basic + bonus + free parking onsite, and close to train station & bus links.
GOC fees paid and 25 holidays plus bank holidays.
The package can be designed around you and your career depending on your level of experience.
*There is a potential for becoming a partner if this is your future goal.
