Specsavers Clydebank are seeking a driven, forward-thinking Optometristto join them on either a full or part time basis. We recognise that our people are the key to our success. The store has been operating successfully for 7 years however the Directors have 30 years of running stores under their belts. The Directors manage two other stores Braehead and Milngavie. Joining as an Optometrist with us will allow, should you want to, the opportunity to move around and work in our other stores occasionally, either as a permanent member of staff, or outside working hours as a locum.

We are passionate about the clinical development of our team, and as our new Optometrist, we will support you with extra courses and specialisms which interest you. Whatever your ambitions, from WOPEC qualifications and independent prescribing to paediatric accreditations or enhanced optical services, well do everything we can to help you be the best clinician you can be.

In addition, our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so were keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway), of which we currently have two team members going through Pathway currently, are available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

Our location
This position is located just outside the vibrant city of Glasgow. With excellent transport links, its not uncommon for people to commute from far and wide. As an Optometrist in Clydebank, your client base will be very diverse but with plenty of familiar faces of course.

Youll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and the willingness to build upon our customer-focused culture.
