Brand new vacancy for an experienced Optical Assistant – Sociable hours working 9:00-5:30 no Sundays or Bank Holidays, very rewarding bonus scheme and a great opportunity to join a small close-knit team in a small but busy practice.

One of my well-established clients with an excellent reputation in the Derbyshire area have just made me aware a new role has become available for a full time Optical Assistant in a busy practice, must be proficient in all aspects of dispensing and commercially aware with good customer service skills.

This practice is situated on a busy high street and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place; who all work with each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

This role is an all-round role which will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

As an Optical Assistant within this practice you will work on the shop floor in the dispensing team. Ideally 1 years minimum experience within an opticians and dispensing is required for this role. As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.
