Qualified Dispensing Optician

Are you an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician looking to work with a high-end independent group with a newly acquired practice in an affluent area near Guildford?

My client can boast of being the optician of choice in the communities of the other practices they own with an excellent level of customer service which has been recognised within the community and has won awards for their level of service.

This role is to be working full time 5 days – 08:45-17:30 with 30 min lunch (must include Saturdays).
No hard sell, friendly team, and great working environment.
This independent high street optician, who have a fantastic reputation for their high-quality service, friendly enthusiastic team and patient focus being priority are looking to add to their team by recruiting an experienced and confident Qualified Dispensing Optician to take on an all-round role where you will also be the main Dispenser.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Dispenser with extensive technical knowledge and can competently work to their own initiative.
You will be able to dispense high-end frames/ lenses comfortably as my client’s team regularly have dispenses over £1000
You must be able to give all product details, information, and advice to your patients
A priority for this role is looking for superb customer service bringing back a “the customer is always right” type attitude.
What is also important is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day-to-day tasks of the store.
As well as all shop floor duties you will be working alongside the practice manager, being part of the senior team, guiding and supporting the team, and bringing new ideas to help develop the practice.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

At least 2 years+ as a Qualified Dispensing Optician ideally within a busy high-end practice.
The main thing my client is looking for is exceptional customer service coupled with an extensive optical knowledge looking after complex prescriptions, high-end designer frames as well as the personality to fit in with the team and the practice culture.
A friendly and personable demeanor and strong personal work ethic – confident, friendly, smart, and has a sense of humour.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike while occasionally dealing with complaints/ queries.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

For your efforts, a competitive salary is on offer depending on experience (up to £32,000)
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and develop your career in an avenue that suits you and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
No Sundays or Bank holidays
