Are you an experienced optician practice manager looking for your next step?

The role

Whether you are an experienced manager or a qualified dispensing optician with management experience, my client would like to talk to you.

I have just taken on an Optical Practice Manager role with a very well-established practice in the Kingston area.

Your role will be in charge of the day-to-day with a team of fourteen in a 3 clinic practice that also has a dedicated hearing clinic.
You will have a good amount of autonomy, with responsibility for hiring and staffing issues, daily team meetings, appraisals, and completing regular reports.
You will play a pivotal role in the growth of the business with regular meetings with the owners to discuss ideas on moving forward.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

The combined role will mean you are accountable for the KPI’s and guiding the team to maximise every opportunity to increase revenue.
As part of your role, you will be on hand to train and motivate where needed as well as maintain operational and aesthetic standards at all times.
Because it is a small team, your role will include a full commitment to total involvement in all areas of the day-to-day practice tasks.
Some of your responsibilities will be taking one-to-one meetings with the team members as recruitment needs and working with the owners, dealing with any staffing issues that may arise.
Operating hours are:
Monday – Saturday 9am-6pm
Sunday 10am-5pm

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

They are open to either an established practice manager or a qualified dispensing optician manager. You will have an understanding of what it takes to look after the general operation and be a people person.
You will have already have a knowledge of the commercial side of the business with emphasis on creating new opportunities and developing already established business.
A friendly and personable demeanor and a strong personal work ethic go without saying, with a customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

They are offering a competitive salary package of up to £31,500 DOE for a QDO and £29,000 DOE for a non-qualified manager, with professional fees included if Qualified.
Holiday entitlements of 33 days Inc BHs.
Medical / Dental cover after qualifying period.
