The RoleAs an Industry Communications Manager, you will support the Senior Industry Engagement Manager to grow and enhance Specsavers’ clinical reputation within the optical and audiology industry. You will develop, deliver and manage impactful communications targeting stakeholders through trade media relations activity, social media and content publishing as a key enabler of our objectives to convince, attract, recruit and retain the best clinical talent in the market. Some of your duties will include:
- Enhancing Specsavers’ clinical reputation within the optical and audiology industry sectors through effective communication and promotion of our clinical services
- Identifying, writing and publishing news and feature stories across all relevant communications channels
- Proactively engaging key industry media, ensuring Specsavers features regularly with strategically aligned messages
- Planning and delivering highly visible and impactful promotional campaigns for key clinical events
- Producing monthly reports, analysing results to continuously improve and refine the clinical services communication strategy
- Working closely with the recruitment team to develop a strategy for trade titles and social media channels, especially our corporate LinkedIn platform
- Developing communications that further Specsavers external reputation for clinical education and career development
- Experience in managing and delivering highly impactful communication plans to engage external stakeholders in support of business agendas
- Knowledge of PR and trade / B2B PR
- Commercial acumen, balanced by a talent for creative thinking and problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective business networks
- Advanced business, journalistic and creative writing capabilities
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and support change
