As a Trainee Optical Assistant you will be a vital part in this amazing business, dealing with different situations daily, meeting and greeting patients, booking appointments, confirming appointments, making sure that the NHS Forms are in order, so you will learn a lot of new skills!

You will learn; Pre-screening, helping with frame choice, what suits the patient, dispensing single/bi/vari focal, CL Teaches, general administration, this wont happen over night, but you'll find that you will learn something new every week, gaining confidence and building on your skills...

You will work with people that at some time in their career, have been in the same situation as you!

Every day brings variety, you will work in a busy environment - juggling a lot of balls, keeping on top of everything, while being polite, sometimes that's hard, as difficult situations do arise from time to time, but that's what will set you apart from the rest - your confidence, prioritising and making sure you do your best every day!

There will be progression, the opportunity to build on your skills - you may want to become a Dispensing Optician, or, move towards management?
