Qualified Dispensing Optician

This is a brand new role with an award-winning, clinical, family run independent in a very affluent town in the Surrey area who are now looking for a Qualified Dispensing Optician on a 3 or 4 day basis (including alternate Saturdays).

Salary – up to £35k pro rata
Bonus – Approx 5% of salary
Days – 3 or 4 to include alternate Saturdays
Free parking at the practice
High end, independent optician with all the latest equipment and technology

My client is looking for a Dispensing Optician with a strong, clinical knowledge. The ideal candidate will be a people person, yet professional and have ideally come from an independent background.

You will be joining a long-standing team who the majority have been in this practice for a minimum of 10 years and are looking for someone who is also looking for a long term role where they can develop their career and be part of the team that has built a great reputation, offers an excellent service and continue to win more awards.

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

You will be responsible for dealing with each and every patient to the best of your ability.
Dispensing a wide range of frames/ lenses, frame selection and adjustments.
You will also be required to do pre-screening, contact lens teaches as well as admin/ reception responsibilities.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

It is essential that you have previous Optical experience and ideally have worked within another high-end independent.
You’ll be a well rounded Dispensing Optician and be on hand to help drive the practice in a variety of different areas
You must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points.
Be able to provide excellent service to each and every patient.
Be driven and want to develop within your role.
Be able to work individually and as part of a team.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

My client can guarantee a competitive salary of up to £35,000 pro rata (depending on experience), a team bonus along with other benefits.
A great working environment with a friendly and experienced team.
Working hours are 9:00-5:30 in the week and 9:00-5:00 on Saturdays, no Sundays or Bank Holidays.

5 weeks holiday pro rata
