Role: Audiology Clinical Support
Location: Louth +1 other Spoke location
Hours: Part Time 3-4 days a weel to include weekend work
Experience level: No previous audiology training is needed
We’re looking for an Audiology Clinical Support colleague to join our hearcare business in Louth.
What is Audiology Clinical Support?
Our Audiology Clinical Support staff are vital in the running of our hearcare businesses. You will support our Hearing Aid Dispensers to help our stores maximise the efficiency of their hearing service and provide excellent customer care. As part of this role, you will undergo our ACS course to become a qualified ACS colleague. No previous experience or training in Audiology is required so if you’re looking for a long-term career in hearcare this opportunity is perfect for you as it is the first step into Audiology.
What is the ACS Course?
The course will take around two weeks to complete. The course is a mixture of online learning resources accessible at any time. Alongside practical training and supervision that can be delivered by an appropriately qualified registered hearing aid dispenser.
Once you have completed our ACS course you will be able to do the following tasks:
• Otoscopy*
• Video otoscopy*
• Triage questions (to identify urgent referable conditions)
• Perform basic screening of hearing using Audiopad
• Referral to wax removal services in-store
• Referral to HAD for referable conditions
• Referral to HAD for full hearing assessment
• Referral to urgent care/immediate medical attention for instances of sudden hearing loss
• Remote Triage
*with indirect supervision
