Job Details
A specialist lens manufacturer based just outside Oxford, Oxfordshire (West near A40) are looking for a full time Optical Lab Technician.
This is a truly innovative company developing glasses using adaptive focus lenses. They are about to launch an exciting new product and need an additional Technician to help produce the high quality lenses.
Optical Glazing Technician - Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Lab Manager, design engineers and scientists in producing specialist lenses and eyewear
- Preparing customer prescriptions
- Glazing
- Overseeing stock levels
- Reducing remakes
- Informing customers of their order status
- Maintaining the equipment
- Full time role - Monday to Friday - No weekends
- Salary between £20,000 to £25,000
Optical Glazing Technician - Requirements
- Previous experience of working as a Glazing Technician, Lab Technician or Optical Assistant
- Able to interpret optical prescriptions
- Hand to eye coordination
- Keen to learn
- Able to work as part of a team
- Organised
