Marketing Strategist

 

We are looking for a full-time experienced senior marketing professional to join us at as a Marketing Strategist. Due to the type of work we do here at Specsavers within Audiology, this is very much based around emotive marketing and would suit those with an interest and or experience from the Healthcare sector.

 

Main Purpose of the Team

 

The Audiology Marketing team are responsible for managing the strategic and operational marketing plan for the Audiology business. This team sits within the UK/IRE/ESP Marketing and eCommerce department and works closely with the Audiology Operations Team.

 

Main Purpose of the Role

 

The Marketing Strategist (Audiology) supports the head of marketing on the strategy and delivery of the national marketing plan and business growth targets for the audiology business. This role is responsible for the success of the Audiology Marketing plan. They work closely with the Activation team to implement the strategy.

 

 

Some of the key Responsibilities will include

 

  • Responsible for managing the development of the UK audiology marketing plan including customer journey, online experience and campaign brief. 
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of integrated national campaigns. Bringing together Product, The Agency, Media, Professional Development and Activation specialisms to deliver business marketing goals.
  • Develop strong relationships across support office leadership team, including contribution to board papers and presentations where necessary.
  • Responsible for the annual UK/IRE Audiology national marketing budget (up to £9m) and the management of assigned campaign budgets, oversight of cost reconciliations as part of the national marketing budget.
  • Responsible for measurement and evaluation of marketing campaigns and subsequent optimisation plans.
  • Champion category with marketing dept mentoring the local/regional marketing team & activation teams in respect of building their knowledge of the audiology business.

 

 

Key Skills, Ability or Experience

 

  • Experienced senior marketing professional with the proven ability to develop category leading marketing programmes.
  • Significant experience in marketing in UK/ROI taking ownership of creative proposition, channel planning, customer engagement and campaign measurement
  • Experience of managing agency relationships and £1m+ scopes of work
  • Brief writing, interpretation of research and analysis
  • Adept at people management, (management of workload and developing individuals) 
  • Expert in creating and managing communication budgets, demonstrating commercial ability to identify and implement cost saving.
  • Ability to present, influence & challenge key stakeholders with collaboration skills that will bring multiple stakeholders together and comfortable attending weekly trade meetings.
  • Experience within CRM would be an advantage as well trade marketing.
