My client is a well-established and highly accomplished practice in the Kingston area who now requires an experienced Optical Assistant or Contact Lens Department Supervisor to enhance the team in place, due to increased business.

This practice already has a loyal customer base and has two very successful directors who have a clear vision of how to grow the business. They are looking to strengthen their team due to continued success and growth.

*They are part of a three-practice group.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant or Contact Lens Department Supervisor

This is a front-of-house retail sales position. You will be meeting and greeting customers coming into the store, booking appointments, helping customers to choose the best frame for their needs, dispensing spectacles, and ultimately making sales.
You will be on hand to help with initial clinical tests and offer advice to customers on how to care for and use their contact lenses.
Additional admin reception and merchandising will also be a part of the role.

*If you are looking for a more senior role, this could be the one for you with two roles on offer.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant or Contact Lens Department Supervisor

The right candidate for this position will have full dispensing knowledge as well as having excellent customer service.
You will be a dynamic individual who is able to make sales while always delivering the highest levels of customer care.
You will have clear personal career goals that this company can help you to achieve and you will be willing to work for them.
*You must be able to work Saturday and Sundays on a rota basis.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant or Contact Lens Department Supervisor

On offer is a starting salary of up to £20,000, with an increase, if prepared to take on some responsibility to £24,000 + team bonus and additional training and development opportunities including the opportunity to go on the DO course.
