Domiciliary Optical Assistant - Coventry Region

Due to extreme demand for our domiciliary services, the team Optical Team that cover the Solihull, Yardley, Coventry and Warwickshire region are currently recruiting for an additional 2 members of the team.

Whichever post you are qualified or experienced to carry out, it is safe to say that in carrying out either role, you will ensure the delivery of a high-quality professional service, with high standards of dispensing and customer care – in short, you’ll make sure every customer gets a great experience. The Directors are experienced, approachable and are keen to ensure staff are looked after well.

Role: Domiciliary Optical Assistant
Location: Solihull, Yardley, Coventry and Warwickshire
Salary: Competitive basic dependent on experience 
Working hours: Full Time (38 hours) Monday to Friday

You MUST hold a valid driving license. Optical experience is preferred but not essential 

In this position you will be out and about in the community, driving across the regions noted above. Your main responsibility will be to provide support to the Optometrist when visiting patients in their own homes. This will include setting up testing equipment, carrying out handovers with the optometrist and being able to provide a personalised dispensing service to each patient you meet. Customer care is high on our agenda, so you must love optics and love dealing with the more vulnerable customers.
