This well-established independent group have just been informed their current Qualified Manager is looking at relocating out of the area and as a result are now looking for a Qualified Dispensing Optician to join their team in one of their practices in the Dorset area.

Leading on average a team of 3-4 within a single clinic you will be looking to deliver second to none customer service with a practice that has a loyal varied patient base.

” Mon to Sat – 09:00- 17:30 with 1 hour lunch
” Salary of up to £30,000
” GOC fees paid
” A competitive pension scheme based on 8% paid by the employer
” 4 weeks holiday increasing by 1 per year to 5 weeks + bank holidays.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

Your day-to-day roles will include dispensing to all levels, pre-screen, contact lens teaches.
As this particular vacancy is ideally looking into management you will be able to lead a team and general daily running of the practice.
What is important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day to day tasks of the store whether that be dispensing, stock taking, answering calls or dealing with problems.

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

Management experience within an optician is required as you will have full autonomy in managing the practice and the team to how you see fit.
You will be involved in stock purchasing, recruitment and developing the business by looking to increase footfall and keeping clinics booked up
Must be GOC registered
Must be a team player
A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

For your efforts a competitive salary of up to £30,000 is on offer as well as GOC fees paid, a very appealing pension scheme based on 8% paid by the employer, 4 weeks holiday increasing by 1 per year to 5 weeks + bank holidays.

Store hours:
Mon – Sat – 09:00- 17:30 with 1 hour lunch
No Sunday working or bank holidays
