The Dispensing Optician role

Responsibilities of the Dispensing Optician
” Working with the Optometrist to determine the best solution for the client
” Dispensing, fitting and adjusting spectacles
” Performing contact lens teaches
” Being flexible to work with the practice team and other colleagues to deliver obsessively great service to every client.
” Following GOC and ABDO guidelines in practice and undertake CET to further develop
Requirements of the Dispensing Optician
” At least 1 year of experience as a Qualified Dispensing Optician ideally within a busy practice.
” The ability to dispense to all levels, be commercially aware and competent in your abilities
” A friendly and personable demeanor and strong personal work ethic.
” A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician
A competitive basic salary of up to £25,000
Team discounts and family & friend’s discounts.
Paid professional fees (GOC and professional indemnity that is currently the AOP).
CET training provided every quarter after the quarterly roadshow, it is provided 12 months annually.
