An exceptional opportunity has just become available for a Dispensing Optician or highly experienced Optical Assistant to join a well-established independent practice working across a number of sites (2-4 max) in the Essex so living close to Rayleigh would be ideal.

The priority is to deliver exceptional customer service within a practice that is highly regarded by the community it serves, maintaining high standards to continue their ongoing success.

You will be a qualified Dispensing Optician or highly experienced Optical Assistant happy to work confidently with all patient demographics and levels of dispensing working closely with the small highly experienced and friendly teams currently in the practices.

This is a senior role where you will have a genuine impact in the running of the practices, working jointly with the business owners to develop the business accordingly.

On offer is a market leading package where you will receive a strong basic salary up to 38,000, bonus based upon practice profits amongst more, while there is further longer-term opportunities for career development if this appeals to an ambitious candidate.

Key Duties

• Rare opportunity to manage a well-established independent practice
• Multifaceted role where you will be managing alongside dispensing within the practice as required
• High end products including designer frames and lenses to cater to an affluent patient base
• Far more relaxed working environment where the priority is maintaining the practices superb reputation for excellent service and delivering exceptional patient care over making a quick sale
• Working hours 9:00am - 6pm Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week and short day Saturday
• Potential for some weekend flexibility if desired
• Excellent training and mentoring provided

Package and Benefits

• Negotiable basic salary up to circa 38000 depending upon experience
• Bonus scheme based off practice performance and not individual sales
• 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays (33 total)
• GOC & ABDO fees paid

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Registered with the GOC as a Dispensing Optician
• Right to work in the UK
