A fantastic opportunity is now available for an Optometrist to join a clinically leading independent practiced based near Banbury on a flexible full or part-time basis.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an Optometrist who is keen to take a step away from retail driven practices, as the practice places an emphasis on utilising the latest technology to provide a premium eye care service to their patients.

You will join a well-established and renowned practice where you will work closely alongside the owners to further their reputation as the Opticians of choice in the area.

From the initial consultation, through to choosing the right frame and lenses, the company have only one aim and that is to provide the best eye care for all the family.

They offer a wide spectrum of specialist clinics including advanced contact lens work amongst more and can offer Optometrists with further qualifications or specialisms the opportunity to utilise them to their fullest.

Key Duties

• Full or part-time role with negotiable days
• Weekend working negotiable
• Flexible testing times between 30-50 minutes, enabling exceptional high quality patient care
• Working hours of 9:00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and half day Saturdays
• Practice continuously invests in cutting edge technology to ensure they can provide the most up to date screening and investigative techniques Including:
• Topcon OCT
• Slit Lamp
• Humphreys Zeiss VFA
• Non-contact tonometry
• Paperless based patient management system
• Very established and renowned practice with a loyal patient base which continues to grow
• Known locally as being very clinical based and often get recommendations from Ophthalmologists for patients to come visit them
• Running specialist services including Specialist Contact lens Inc. Ortho K, Corneal Topography, AMD clinics, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma referrals, Cataract referrals and Dry eye clinics
• Looking to expand on more specialist areas of Optometry supporting additional training for Optoms to offer a variety of services

Package and Benefits

• Very competitive salary between 45,000 - 55,000+ (Depending on experience)

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• GOC registered as an Optometrist
