Location: Connah’s Quay, Flintshire, North Wales

Job Title: Optical Assistant

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 dependent on experience

Working hours: Full or Part-time 

Experience Level: Optical experience is essential

Quayside Opticians is a new Independent soon to open within a busy retail park based in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire. We aim to provide exceptional eyecare services to our patients in our newly designed store which is equipped with the most innovative technology in the industry.

We are looking to recruit an Optical Assistant to join our new team with the following requirements/skills:

• Optical experience is essential
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good organisational/time management skills
• Versatile in approach to customers of all ages and backgrounds
• Pro-active around the workplace
• Eligible to work in the UK

Duties Include:

• Diary management
• Welcome patients on arrival
• Performing preliminary tests on patients when requested by Opticians
• Dispensing glasses and contact lenses
• Recommend frames and lenses that meet lifestyle requirements
• Keeping up-to-date with our new products and offers
• Dealing with patient enquiries in store and over the telephone
• Focus on meeting customer expectations and using problem solving strategies when dealing with unsatisfied patients
• General administration and housekeeping tasks
