Optometrist

This is a brand new role with an award-winning, clinical, family-run independent in a very affluent town in the Surrey area who are now looking for an Optometrist on a part-time basis (3-days).

Salary – Up to £60k pro rata
Bonus – Regularly achieved (Approx 5% of salary)
Days – Part-time (3 days including alternate Saturdays)
Hours – 9:00-5:30 in the week and 9:00-5:00 on Saturdays
Test time – 45 mins
Equipment – Phoropter, OCT, Henson 9000 field screener, Optomap and more

My client is looking for an Optometrist with a strong, clinical knowledge. The ideal candidate will be a people person, yet professional and have come from an independent background.

You will be joining a long-standing team who the majority have been in this practice for a minimum of 10 years and are looking for someone who is also looking for a long term role where they can develop their career and be part of the team that have built a great reputation, offers an excellent service and continue to win more awards.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

You will be responsible for dealing with each and every patient to the best of your ability
Complete full eye test including pre-screen within 45 min appointments
You will be able to provide excellent customer service and speak with your patients in a friendly, confident yet professional manner
Be a key part of the company and work with the team to drive business

Requirements of the Optometrist

It is essential that you have previous Optical experience and ideally have worked within another high-end independent.
You’ll be a well-rounded Optometrist and have a good balance between commercial awareness and being clinically focussed. You will be on hand to help drive the practice in a variety of different areas
You must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points
Be able to provide excellent service to each and every patient
Be driven and want to develop within your role
Be able to work individually and as part of a team

Compensation for the Optometrist

My client can guarantee a competitive salary of up to £60,000 pro rata (depending on experience), a team bonus along with other benefits.
A great working environment with a friendly and experienced team.
Working hours are 9:00-5:30 in the week and 9:00-5:00 on Saturdays, no Sundays or Bank Holidays.
