A new vacancy has just come in for a Part-Time or Full-Time Optometrist to join an established and constantly growing franchise practice in a prime high-street location in the heart of Cheshire. Ideally, the Director would be looking for an experienced Optometrist who is MECS accredited and happy with 40mins testing.

Optometrist Position

The practice has two testing rooms, modern equipment including phorophter and Optomap, and its own hearing care centre. It also provides the ideal environment in which the people at the heart of the business can continually learn and develop their skills to reach their full potential.

The Director has ambitious plans to continuously grow the business and is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Optometrist, with a long-term outlook, to help shape the business and join a purpose-led team that puts its patients at the heart of everything they do.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist.

You will be responsible for delivering the best possible care to all their patients and work closely as part of a small team. The company’s goal is to deliver outstanding patient care, combined with sound dispensing advice and product recommendations that best suit individual customer needs. In addition, they aim to provide both their colleagues and customers with an overall excellent environment.

You will be responsible for contact lens fitting, aftercare advice, maintaining accurate patient records and keeping up to date with product and professional knowledge and conducting thorough sight tests offering your expert opinion, and making recommendations. You will be on hand to answer any difficult questions and share your clinical knowledge with patients and the team.

Requirements of the Optometrist

To apply for this position you will need to be a fully qualified optometrist who is GOC registered and up to date with all CET requirements. You will have a patient-centered approach along with the ability to work well in a team. Additionally, you will have a successful career to date and be able to demonstrate great interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, and clinical expertise. Ideally, you will be MECS accredited or at least willing to get accredited as soon as possible.

Full professional development package – time and resource to exceed the CET points requirement
Professional indemnity insurance cover
Discretionary bonus – approx £150-200 per month

£55,000 basic
Social 9-5:30pm hours
