Here is a brief snap shot of what’s on offer:
” Two day position 09:00 – 17:30 Mon-Fri, (Wed closed) / 09:00 – 13:00 Sat
” Flexibility on working days
” Salary up to £50k basic
” GOC fees paid
The position is to provide a comprehensive sight care service within a well-appointed practice in a strong footfall location. You will be working alongside a passionate and well trained support team. You will conduct sight tests working to 25-minute test slots and you will also undertake contact lens work as well.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
In this role, you will be working in a single clinic practice provide excellence in clinical care to your patients and work as part of a small team well established teams. You will be responsible for providing eye tests, contact lens fitting, aftercare advice, maintaining accurate patient records and keeping up to date with product and professional knowledge. You will be on hand to answer any difficult questions and share your clinical knowledge with patients and your team. In reality you will not be over managed as the owner has given the successful applicant the flexibility to look at it as their own business.
Requirements of the Optometrist
To apply for this position, you will need to be a fully qualified Optometrist who is GOC registered and up to date with all CET requirements. You will be hard working and clinically minded who is passionate about customer service and patient care. You will have a successful career to date and be able to demonstrate great interpersonal skills, knowledge and expertise in your specialist field.
*You will be someone who can work unsupervised!
Compensation for the Optometrist
In return for all your hard work the owner will continually aim to invest you and the team, ensuring that you are able to develop and pursue any professional interests, allowing you to provide an excellent customer service. An excellent basic salary of up to £50,000 pro-rata is on offer depending on experience, GOC fees paid and standard holiday entitlements.
