This client are one of the most recognisable opticians in the UK being established for over 80 years with nearly 200 practices and still growing. They are now looking for an Assistant Manager to look after one of their busy practices in the Milton Keynes area.

You will be working with a small team and liaising with an experienced Practice Manager, you will be expected to supervise and support the team, working towards targets and offering any support to fellow colleagues while also still being heavily involved with the dispensing and day to day running of the practice.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager

You will work within a busy practice in an all-around role. You will be helping patients with all their eye and hearing care needs, including contact lenses, designer frames, NHS eye care and hearing health checks. You will be dispensing spectacles and making sales as well as undertaking pre-screening, contact lens teaches and associated admin work.
You will be working in a small team and be able to support and motivate the team working towards targets and KPI’s.

Requirements for the Assistant Manager

You will ideally have previous management experience and will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Optical Assistant but Assistant Manager/ Supervisor in optics is preferable and it’s essential you can dispense spectacles to all levels.
You will be pre-screening patients, delivering contact lens teaches and will be very focussed on delivering the highest levels of customer service.
Ideally some level of management experience either as team leader/ supervisor or higher.

Compensation for the Assistant Manager

On offer for the right person is a competitive salary of up to £20,000 as well as a generous bonus scheme and the opportunity to further your career. You will have 28 days holiday. NO Sundays
Working hours are 9-5:30 with an early finish on Saturdays at 5pm
