Optometry jobs at Specsavers
Optometrist, Cramlington, Northumberland.

Come and work with a directorship team that get on like a house on fire!

The first thing that is clear with Sunneil and Val is not just their genuine passion for the store, but how well in sync they are. This translates into a friendly and happy place to work for any optometrist!

Val was one of the first partners in development 17 years ago, and has worked at a variety of stores, including a good stint at Specsavers Hartlepool, where she used to travel from Washington, a pretty long trek! Val bought into the store last year as the retail Director. Suneil qualified in 1995 in Glasgow, where he worked outside Specsavers. He moved down to the area 17 years ago and bought into Ashington, 6 years ago he also added in Cramlington.

The store has just had a huge refit, to bring in the latest equipment and refresh the store. They now have Nidek phoropters in store, eye refract, OCT and DVLA testing facilities. This is supported by an amazing clinical team that manage the clinics and help keep tests and handovers on time. This coupled with the family feeling store, makes it a professional and fun place to work.

What’s on Offer?

  • A basic salary of up to £60,000 per annum
  • A welcome bonus of £10,000
  • 33 days annual leave - flexible on when these are taken
  • Personal Development Plan in place, which is always under review
  • Clinical team in place which helps make sure your clinics run to time
  • Store recently refit with Nidek Phoropters, eye refract and OCT
