Here is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Optical Practice Manager, to work within a practice of a large high end independent group of opticians, in an affluent area near Chatham, in Kent.
My client boasts an excellent level of customer service, which has been recognised within the community.

This role is to be working full time 5 days – 9:00-17:30 in the week and 9:00-16:00 on Saturday (must include Saturdays), no Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Free parking, not hard sell, friendly team and great working environment.

This independent high street optician, who have a fantastic reputation for their high-quality service, friendly enthusiastic team and patient focus being priority are looking to add to their team by recruiting an experienced and confident Optical Manager to take on an all-around role where you will also be the main Dispenser.

Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager

” The ideal candidate will be an experienced Dispenser with an extensive technical knowledge and can competently work to their own initiative.
” You will be comfortable working on your own on non-testing days
” You will be experienced in driving the business as this practice are looking at increasing testing-days and footfall
” Within this role you will not be micromanaged and therefore will have full autonomy managing the practice and team
” You must be able to give all product details, information and advice to your patients
” A priority for this role is looking for superb customer service bringing back “the customer is always right” type attitude.
” What is also important is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day to day tasks of the store.
” As well as all shopfloor duties you will be managing the store with full autonomy, guiding and supporting the team and bringing new ideas to help develop the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager

” At least 3 years+ as an Optical Practice Manager ideally within a busy high end practice.
” For this opportunity you must be a fully Qualified Dispensing Optician, registered on the GOC with all CET points up to date
” The main thing my client is looking for is exceptional customer service coupled with an extensive optical knowledge looking after complex prescriptions, high end designer frames along with the personality to fit in with the team and the practice culture.
” A friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic – confident, friendly, smart and has a sense of humour.
” A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike while occasionally dealing with complaints/ queries.

Compensation for the Optical Practice Manager

For your efforts a competitive package on offer;
” Basic salary up to £30,000 (depending on experience)
” A generous bonus scheme (up to £500 per month)

” 4 weeks holiday + Bank holidays (with yearly increments up to 5 weeks holiday)
