The Systems Architect/Designer is a hybrid role which brings together Solution and Enterprise Architecture disciplines.
All aspects of a solution are the responsibility of the Systems designer. Solutions must be designed in a way in which they offer best value to Specsavers; so as well as being technically well designed, they need to be affordable and operable.
It will be key that not only do the solutions meet the enterprise architecture roadmap, have optimum reuse of standard components, and appropriately follow Specsavers’ standards, principles and policies; the role owner is also responsible for creating those enterprise assets.
The Systems Architect/designer supports Specsavers delivery functions, creating High Level Designs that are realised by Lines of Business and Strategic Programs. They work closely with Business Analysts, Product Vendors and Development Teams to translate business requirements into solutions that are delivered on time, within budget and in line with Specsavers architecture standards
