Optical Practice Manager Position
A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused Optical Practice Manager (ideally a Dispensing Optician) on a full-time basis. This practice is situated in a busy shopping area and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.
Responsibilities of the Optical Practice Manager
The role will entail all shop floor duties such as dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be leading from the front, managing a small team you will be supported by a Dispensing Optician, an Assistant Manager and 2 very experienced Directors.
You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on the best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Practice Manager
As an Optical Practice Manager within this practice, you will lead the team offering support, training and development while looking to drive the practice forward as we all come out of lockdown and business starts booming again. You will also work as one of the primary dispensers on the shop floor. You will lead by example dealing with the majority of paediatric and complex dispensing. As a member of the store’s clinical team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.
