Optometrist

An independent chain in Sheffield are looking to add an Optometrist to their team on a full-time permanent basis. This role offers between .30min – .45min test time depending on practice with all the latest equipment including OCT, Fundus Photography and Optomap.

Optometrist Position

This role will be based between 2 practice for cover so flexibility to travel, in the Sheffield area. This company are looking for an Optometrist with strong commercial and clinical acumen. This company offer a comprehensive sight test using the latest modern equipment in a bright and clean test room, where you will be supported by an experienced Dispensing Optician and 2 Optical assistants. There will be Double testing 1-2 times weekly and 6 day single testing.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

In this role, you will provide excellence in clinical care to your patients and work as part of a small team. You will be responsible for providing eye tests, contact lens fitting, aftercare advice, maintaining accurate patient records and keeping up to date with product and professional knowledge. You will be on hand to answer any difficult questions and share your clinical knowledge with patients and the team.

Requirements of the Optometrist

To apply for this position, you will need to be a fully qualified Optometrist who is GOC registered and up to date with all CET requirements. You will be hard working and clinically minded who is passionate about customer service and patient care. Open to newly qualified or experienced Optometrist and be able to demonstrate great interpersonal skills, knowledge and expertise in your specialist field.
