I am working with one my clients in the Swindon area who are ideally looking for a qualified Optometrist to join a large modern practice that has recently had a large shop re-fit.
Full time – up to £60,000 basic working MONDAY TO FRIDAY
Part time – up to £48,000 doing Mon/ Tue/ Thu & Fri….
The practice is well equipped with fundus cameras and OCT in a brand new modern “all singing, all dancing” test room providing an overall comfortable work space. They have a fully trained support team who do all pre-tests and take your professional handovers to ensure the patients get the best advice and correct prescription requirements.
They are a very close team who all have the best interests of both the team and the patients in mind.
This is a full-time opportunity with a market-leading opticians in a prime location in the Swindon area.
They will consider both newly qualified as well as those who are more experienced.
They are one of the major opticians in the area and servicing both private and NHS clients and offering a good range of lenses and frames to suit all budgets.
They now require a GOC registered optometrist to test to 30 minutes with MINIMAL CONTACT LENSES OR CHILDREN.
The working hours are 9:00-18:00 with 1-hour lunch, no Saturdays or Sundays.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
The role will be delivering eye tests to a high standard with occasional contact lens work undertaken. You will be expected to make recommendations to patients who will then be passed on to the support team.
Requirements of the Optometrist
You will be GOC registered and full CET accredited and happy to test to 30 minutes and have sound clinical skills and strong commercial awareness.
You will have at least 3-years of experience post qualification and be able to be a pre-reg supervisor.
Your experience will be more catered to your clinical skills rather than commercial awareness but the ideal candidate will demonstrate a balance between the two.
You will have a friendly and personable demeanour and a strong personal work ethic.
A customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optometrist
For your skills and input, my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000 basic.
You will also have the opportunity for ongoing personal development.
Sociable hours with no late nights or weekends.
New equipment including OCT and Digital Goldmann as the practice was only refitted 3 years ago.
