Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser - Dunfermline Hearcare

Role: Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser
Location: Dunfermline to cover clinics in Dalgety Bay, Kirkcaldy, Leven, Glenrothes, Cupar and St Andrews  
Hours: Full time to include weekend work
Experience level: For this role you will need to be a qualified Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser and able to HCPC register
A driving licence is preferred for this role 

We’re looking for an Audiologist/Hearing Aid Dispenser to join our Hearcare team in Specsavers Hearcare in Dunfermline. 

Our Hearcare businesses consist of the ‘hub’ store and a number of ‘spoke’ stores. The business will be named after the hub store. They then provide clinics in the spokes which are located in the nearby surrounding area and are usually Specsavers stores. 

The spoke stores for Dunfermline Hearcare are:

• Dalgety Bay
• Kirkcaldy
• Leven
• Glenrothes
• Cupar 
• St Andrews  

All of the stores in the Dunfermline hub and spoke network are in the Fife area and can be reached from the hub in less than an hour. You will always receive a rota in advance so that you know which store you’ll be in each day. You’ll then run the hearcare clinic within that store for the day. 

Within the role you will cover the following:

• Hearing Assessment
• Hearing Aid dispensing
• Hearing Protection services
• Wax Removal using Microsuction (training can be provided)

Dunfermline Hearcare is run by our Director Bryan Connor who is also a qualified Hearing Aid Dispenser. The current team consists of another HAD, a HCA and an administrator. We’re looking for a HAD to expand this team and grow the business. 

Bryan has been an Audiologist for 10 years now. He trained in the NHS and worked for a global hearing aid supplier before moving on to work for an Audiology equipment supplier. He set up the Dunfermline business as a new hub nearly 3 years ago and built it up to a 7 store Hub. He’s very passionate about helping those with hearing difficulty and is fluent in British sign language!
