The Company

A well known and very desirable independent based in the Plymouth area are seeking an optometrist to join their well experienced and long standing team. Having started the company just over 40 years ago they have expanded the company and now have 7 practices in the area with over 40 employees now working for this desirable independent. Really focusing on the patient service, they take pride in the service that they provide and because of this they have a very loyal patient base. Creating a relaxed and friendly working environment in their stores is key as they want their employees to enjoy their role day to day and this may be the reason why they have such good staff retention. 

The Position

We are seeking a friendly and confident optometrist who can commit to either a full or part time position. Having a friendly personality is key as you would be expected to work well with the team in practice as well as build a strong rapport with the patients having up to 45 minutes to carry out your eye examination. With 6 stores all within a close proximity to each other, for this position you would be expected to work between certain stores and work in different practices. With long standing teams in each practice, they all know their roles and responsibilities to make the store run smoothly and are all qualified in their designated position. Offering a flexible rota along with a salary up to £58,000, bonus, pension, career development, fees covered and more.

The Location

The ideal location for the optometrist to be based is in or around Plymouth with good travel links or a ideally a car.
