A new opportunity has just become available for an experienced Assistant Manager on a full time, permanent basis in a well established franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.

You will be working in a high street store surrounded by a very supportive and experienced team who are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager

Experience in managerial positions is not essential but a desire to progress your optical career further is.
You will be managing the day to day operation with emphasis on the business side, staff training and monitoring KPIs and targets as well as ensuring all staffing requirements are met.
Your day will be split between management and dispensing with a ‘lead by example’ mentality.
You will take control of performance levels of the team by way of assessing their abilities and addressing their needs for development and participating in appraisals.

Requirements of the Assistant Manager

You will have:
” Present or previous experience in working in a small to medium size team in a busy testing practice
” Strong experience as an Optical Assistant with the ability to dispense to all levels
” A good understanding of KPIs and managing goals and targets – commercially aware/business mindset
” Desire to progress and develop further as the store grows.

Compensation for the Assistant Manager

For this role my client is offering a competitive salary of £19,500 to £24,000 dependent on experience with a competitive overall package but more importantly you will be joining a group who have your future interests and aspirations at heart.
