Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

As an Optical Assistant, you will spend your time on various aspects of meeting your customer’s needs precisely and competently. You will be helping patients with all their eye care needs including dispensing niche and fashionable eyewear brands such as Lindberg, Mykita to their growing, loyal customer base. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements for the Optical Assistant

To secure this role you will need previous experience as an Optical Assistant and it’s essential you dispense spectacles to all levels and ideally have worked with designer frames. You will have a real passion for providing fantastic customer care and demonstrated you’re a natural when it comes to customer care, you’re articulate, good with people with an organised approach, and always happy to help, so you’ll fit right in as a valuable member of the friendly team, joining a business that’s going places.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

On offer for the right person is a competitive salary of £20,000 – £24,000 as well as the opportunity to further your career. For the right candidate on to either the Dispensing Optician course or down the managerial path.

– 28 days holiday.
– Social 9:15 – 6:15 hours, NO Sunday’s
– Alternate Saturday’s
– Monthly bonus
