Optometry jobs at Specsavers
Optometrist, Durham

Andy and Dermot understand the meaning of work hard, play hard. The good news is they are looking for a new Optometrist to join their team at Specsavers Durham and Arnison.

Andy and Dermot have both worked at other opticians before joining Specsavers. Andrew started as an OA with D&A and worked hard to become the director of a VE store before 10 years ago becoming the Director of Durham and opening Arnison this year with Dermot. Dermot did his pre-reg with Boots, has worked with the hospital and now working with a secondary care referral system for Specsavers Durham, which he joined as a director in 2016.

There is a lot of experience between the director team, which translates into how they run the store. They proudly offer an amazing range of clinical appointments, working closely with the Sunderland Eye Infirmary for referrals, in store MECs clinics and development and IP. They also understand that it is not all work and no play. Outside work commitments also come into consideration, if you need to work specific hours to match your hobbies, your family needs or simply your lifestyle, they understand and can work with you to get a work schedule that suits everyone.
