Position - Optometrist

Location – Huntingdon

Be part of a big-name brand that cares about the little things.

Join our team as an Optometrist at Huntingdon Specsavers, where we recognise that our people are critical to our past and future success.

The directors Zuher and Susana have been with the store since it opened back in 2000, and with the support of a long standing and dynamic team, they are now looking to increase and strengthen their team of optometrists.

In Specsavers Huntingdon, the directors do everything they can to make sure the team get the experience and career they’re looking for; from market-leading training and access to cutting-edge technology to a personal development plan built around you.

What’s on offer?

  • A market-leading package plus bonus
  • A strong performance-based bonus scheme
  • Pension contribution
  • Outstanding clinical and professional development opportunities
  • Access to cutting-edge clinical technology such as OCT
  • Long standing team in place
  • No late nights

Our forward-thinking store continues to expand and provide the career development opportunities that come with such continued growth. We’re equipped with 5 test rooms, cutting-edge technology, up-to-date ophthalmic equipment and a team 12 members strong - including optical assistants trained in pre- and post-screening, so everything is in place to let you focus on what you do best.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to be a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with drive, passion and the ability to help this growing practice continue to build on its customer-focused culture. To be part of our team, you’ll need to provide that unique blend of customer care and professional excellence – which will make a big impact on the store’s overall success. You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with a passion for the community. Teamwork also forms a big part of our culture, so the ability to work well with other people is essential. To summarise, we want someone who believes what we believe: in putting the patient first.

This store is an accredited Platinum Employer, which means you can expect an exceptional employee experience every single day you work here. The Platinum Employer Scheme is part of our drive to become a famous place to work. Stores with this accreditation have been verified on five key employer standards: Recruitment, Performance Management and Reward, Talent Management, Learning and Development and Employee Engagement.
