Woodspeen Training is looking for Optical Skills Tutors.

It is an exciting time to be joining our company, we specialise in apprenticeships and training. Training will be provided to those from the optical industry with little or no training experience.

You will support apprentices to enhance their Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours within the Optical Assistant Apprenticeship. You will deliver training and assess apprentices against set standards and help support the industry’s next generation of talent.

You will have a case load of learners and ensure they are progressing through their learning programme, ensuring that learners receive assessment, structured teaching and reviews that are required as part of an apprenticeship programme. All of which is to be delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Delivery of this apprenticeship will consist of a mix of classroom and virtual learning. Workplace visits will be carried out where necessary to assist with the learning and assessment of the apprentices, as such you need access to your own transport.

We are looking for applicants who hold a FBDO qualification, we will enrol the successful candidates on teaching and assessing qualifications if required to.

We are an established provider of training and apprenticeships to various industry’s, we were graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2019. We are experiencing growth and have ambitions to continue this by adding to our team and offer our programmes across a wider geographical footprint.
