We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team in our Nottingham Store Support Centre on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Payroll Supervisor you’ll be responsible for a team of 4 Payroll Administrators and report direct directly into the Payroll Manager. We are looking for someone with significant payroll experience that’s able to come in and hit the ground running ensuring that the procedures are in place to ensure payments are made accurately to 5,500 employees across 100 different PAYE and 3 legislations.

The key duties and responsibilities include:

o Day to day management of team

o Team Training

o Process and manage the support office payrolls (new starters, changes, leavers, sickness, maternity)

o Performing all necessary checks before calculating the payrolls. All exception reports to be checked ensuring accuracy before the final payments are generated.

o Processing Bacs payments, including monthly payday BACS

o Monthly pension and benefits balancing along with pension upload to a third party

o Support managers with HR portal, offering help and guidance where required.

o Completing manual tax and NI calculations (UK, ROI & Jersey) and explain these to employees when required. Liaise with HMRC on behalf of employees, where necessary

o Accurately implement and administer all third party paperwork in line with given deadlines and support external bodies i.e. DWP, CSA, PAYE

o Calculate and process all relevant bonus payments in line with current scheme rules.

o Balance and check tax and NI reconciliations in line with department time scales and provide G2N repots for finance.

o EPS/FPS monthly Submission

o Review and improve current processes with the payroll manager

The Chose Candidate will have;

* Have 3 years previous payroll experience

* Previous Management skills

* Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

* Have the ability to work to tight deadlines

* Work well under pressure

* Be a team player

* Have good problem-solving skills

* A good understanding of statutory legislation

* Have good investigation skills
