A fantastic independent Opticians based on the coast of the beautiful New Forest National Park, are looking for an Optometrist to join the team working 4 or 5 days a week. Based in between Southampton and Bournemouth this is an opportunity to join an extremely successful clinical practice, whilst working in a picturesque location known for its sailing, water sports and coastal walks.
Optometrist - Role
- Family run practice
- Well established in the area - over 30 years
- Working in a beautiful grade 2 listed building
- 2 Testing rooms
- Working alongside another experienced Optometrist as well as a fully qualified Dispensing Optician and support team
- Trial frames and Phoropter
- Optinet Flex computer system
- Hospital grade equipment - Top of the range OCT, DNEye Scanner
- Relaxed clinics with 30-40 minute tests
- Working 4 or 5 days a week including alternate Saturdays
- Typical working hours are from 9am to 5.30pm (9am to 4pm on a Sat)
- Basic salary between £45,000 to £60,000 depending on experience

Optometrist - Requirements
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- 2 + years qualified
- Contact Lens experience - including complex RGP (in house training available if required)
- Hands on - Willing to get involved outside of the test room
- Wants to help develop and grow the business
- Wants to be a part of a friendly, close knit team
- Excellent communication skills
- Patient focused
- Dynamic
