Are you a shark at managing large-scale events that leave a strong impact on the audience? And would you like to be the liaison between many external stakeholders and our internal stakeholders?


If so, we have a golden opportunity for you to become our new Event Planner at our Northern European support office.


It should be noted that as our new Event Planner, you will be hired on project-based employment. However, since our organisation is developing fast, continues opportunities will most likely become available.

What you’ll do
As our brand-new Event Planner, you will be the one who facilitates contact between external agencies and our internal departments, such as Internal Communication, Store Communication, Employer Branding, and Recruitment, among others. Your number one task will be to ensure that we always deliver a high-quality event concept that supports Specsavers and Louis Nielsen’s “Transforming Eye Health” journey, as well as our Employer Brand- and Industry Communications strategy. More specifically, you will have the honour of planning, managing, and securing a smooth execution of Clinical Conference 2021. The Clinical Conference is our hero-event, which we host every year to bring new knowledge to all eye- and hearing care experts with the aim to position ourselves as thought leaders within the industry.


Your key areas of responsibility will be to:

 

  • Fine-tune our virtual Clinical Conference concept from 2020 and ensure that it supports our objective of hosting a thought-leading conference for eye and hearing care professionals in 2021
  • Work with the project manager to produce and maintain an effective project plan to keep the event on track with scheduling, deadlines and budget
  • Work with our content managers to create a communications plan that delivers engaging content pre, during, and post the conference to all our audiences
  • Run continuous workshops with internal stakeholders to settle on the programme, speakers, and professional content well in advance
  • Be proactive in engaging with global suppliers for sponsorship    
  • In the long term, this role will also support our local country teams with local employer branding or clinical events to ensure they are in line with our overall positioning strategy


Who you are
We’re searching for an Event Planner who has acquired solid experience with running large events and knows how to liaise between more stakeholders. You will be managing and prioritising your own projects and time on a day-to-day basis, and it is, therefore, necessary to have excellent time management and organisation skills. In addition to the described, you must also accommodate the following qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience of running large events or conferences, both virtual and physical
  • Familiar with and capable of managing the event planning, organisation, and execution
  • Able to prioritise tasks and efficiently manage the workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English, and a second Nordic language, to ensure professionalism always
  • Pay attention to proofreading of written documents
  • Be a creative problem-solver and have solutions prepared for challenging situations
  • Aspire to be international, proactive, flexible, and approachable
  • Happy to work in cross-functional and cross-national teams
  • Persistent to work in a high-paced environment with tight deadlines while keeping several events up and running.
