Optical Assistant Position

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels and offering your expert opinion. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice. This is just a purely NHS practice, so there is no pressure when it comes to selling glasses.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

You must have past experience of working in an Opticians and the ability to dispense glasses to all levels, trouble shoot varifocals and dispense children from a young age. A friendly and personable demeanour with a confidence in your abilities, with the credibility to assure patients they are in capable hands. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike. You must be able to speak either Punjabi or Urdu.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant
