Optometry jobs at Specsavers

Optometrist, North East Yorkshire

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Optometrist in the North East Yorshire area to join our expanding domiciliary care business - Specsavers Healthcall.

About us:
Specsavers began more than 35 years ago with the vision of two optometrists, Doug and Mary Perkins, who set out to provide best-value eyecare to everybody. Their passion for optometry has led Specsavers to become the largest privately-owned optical group in the world, delivering high-quality, affordable optical and hearing care in 10 countries. And it continues to shape the lives and experience of thousands of colleagues who are developing their careers with us across the globe. We are proud of how far we’ve come as a business, now we want to see you grow with us too.

What’s on Offer?

  • A generous annual salary (depending on experience)
  • No weekends!
  • Company car
  • Mileage allowance
  • Holiday allowance of 33 days per year
  • Pension contribution
  • GOC & College fees covered

This role will appeal to those who want to move away from the High Street and want genuine professional freedom and, above all, a great changing working environment where you are rewarded and recognised for your daily contributions to the business.

As a qualified Optometrist, you will need to be clinically sensitive to the needs of the patient and provide excellence in customer service, yet understand the commercial requirement of the business. You will be able to demonstrate your commercial understanding by making suitable recommendations. This role is complemented by the support of an Optical Assistant.

If you are looking for a change of environment from the high street and want more diversity and freedom in your working day, then this role is perfect for you. It will allow you the opportunity to put your skills to the test and make a real difference to the quality of a person’s life and help and support a local community.
