Optometrist Position

This small group of high end independent practices are, and always will be, a traditionally driven group with deep roots in the local community.
They have been established for over 40 years and still the optician of choice in their respective locations.
They are recognised for their care and attention to the finer details and customer service is second to none.
They have access to all the latest products in frames and lenses and coupled with the long serving teams in all practices gives them the edge over competitors.
This role would suit a newly qualified Optometrist who is looking to gain exposure to a wide variety patient base or an experienced Optometrist with the skills and experience to deal with complex and interesting cases.

Responsibilities of the Optometrist

In this role, you will provide excellence in clinical care to your patients and work as part of a small team. You will be responsible for providing eye tests, contact lens fitting, aftercare advice, maintaining accurate patient records and keeping up to date with product and professional knowledge to conduct a thorough sight tests offering your expert opinion and making recommendations. You will be on hand to answer any difficult questions and share your clinical knowledge with patients and the team.
*They have OCT, trial frames and paper records in all practices and working hours are Monday – Friday: 9am – 5.30pm & Saturday: 9am – 5.00pm with an hour for lunch and no Sundays

Requirements of the Optometrist

To apply for this position you will need to be a fully qualified Optometrist who is GOC registered and up to date with all CET requirements. You will be hard working and clinically minded who is passionate about customer service and patient care. You will have a successful career to date and be able to demonstrate great interpersonal skills, knowledge and expertise in your specialist field.
*The role does require someone who is looking for a more relaxed working environment and away from the hard sell and fast pace of a multiple.
You will work between two practices in Rayleigh & Maldon so flexibility in travelling is essential.
**They are looking for someone with a genuine passion for optics and customer service more so than someone just in it for the money!

Compensation for the Optometrist

In return for the strong salary basic of £50,000 is on offer, the client is looking for someone ready to put their patients first and to become an integral part of the team and to maintain the high standards.
