This independent, high street optician are looking to add to their team by recruiting an Optical Assistant to their small but experienced and close-knit team.

My client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual with a passion for optics, a good, strong work ethic and someone who takes pride in doing a job to the best of their ability.
Located in an excellent location in a very nice town, this attractive practice is equipped to the highest standard and boasts an excellent customer base and a wide range of products.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The ideal candidate will have had experience as an Optical Assistant and can work within an all-round role.
Your responsibilities will consist of dispensing to all levels, frame styling, contact lens teaches, as well as all admin/ reception duties.
What is also important, is your ability to build rapport and converse with patients, while getting involved in the day to day tasks of the store.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant.

At least 2 years of experience as an Optical Assistant ideally within an independent.
An enthusiastic and friendly person with a strong work ethic and passion for optics, who takes pride in doing a job to the best of their ability.
A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts, a competitive salary of up to £20,000 is on offer.
Free parking only a 5-10 min walk from the practice.

Progression opportunities, with the potential to go on to the Dispensing Optician course.
You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment, potential opportunity prospects are available for the right person.
Working 9:00-5:30 Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week.
No Sundays or Bank holidays
