With a new start at Specsavers, there’s no telling how far you’ll go.

Specsavers began more than 35 years ago with the vision of two optometrists, Doug and Mary Perkins, who set out to provide best-value eyecare to everybody. Their passion for optometry has led Specsavers to become the largest privately-owned optical group in the world, delivering high-quality, affordable optical and hearing care in 10 countries. And it continues to shape the lives and experience of thousands of colleagues who are developing their careers with us across the globe. We are proud of how far we’ve come as a business, now we want to see you grow with us too.

You’ve got the skills, experience and the drive. Now you’ve found the business that shares your ambition: welcome to Specsavers. Over almost 30 years, Specsavers have become the number one provider of professional eyecare in the UK – and we don’t intend to stop there. With our outstanding training and ever-growing business, there’s every opportunity to advance and excel.

As a Laboratory Technician in Basingstoke, you’ll be preparing customer prescriptions to the highest standards and using the latest computer-controlled equipment. It’s all about providing an excellent single vision glazing service that helps the store to maximise sales and profitability. One day you could be repairing spectacles, the next, you could be glazing and tinting single vision lenses. The important thing is that you’ll be learning all the time – building on your knowledge with the help of your expert colleagues.

An eye for detail is a must. You should also be good with people and able to work as part of a team. You’ll be friendly and organised too, presenting a professional image to customers at all times. Above all, you’ll have previous experience as a Lab Technician, and be ready to learn more.

This store is an accredited Platinum Employer, which means you can expect an exceptional employee experience every single day you work here.
