Scope of role:                                       Providing recruitment administration and co-ordination to all stores in an allocated region, ensuring excellent customer service

  

Key Relationships:                                Joint Venture Partners, Store Managers, Employees, Candidates and SRS colleagues

 

 

The Role

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


The key deliverable of this role is to provide recruitment administration and support to Specsavers stores in line with agreed service levels.

This role is also responsible for building excellent relationships with the Store Director / Hiring Manager community and candidates.

 

1.  Operational Excellence                 

Responsible for following the end-to-end SRS retail and apprenticeship recruitment process, adhering to the service level agreement, this includes:

  • Consult with the hiring manager to get an understanding of their retail / apprenticeship requirements, explaining and capturing the role information and outline the recruitment process
  • Loading the vacancy on to the Specsavers Careers Portal and any relevant associated recruitment job boards (e.g. Retail Choice).
  • Screening, qualifying and checking applicants through the Specsavers Careers Portal, providing a long-list to the hiring manager
  • Administering any Specsavers online assessment tools e.g. Talent Screener
  • Manually up-loading applicants to the applicant tracking system when needed
  • Proactively chasing the hiring manager community for feedback on applicants
  • Liaising with hiring managers to organise, book and confirm candidate interviews on the required dates.
  • Facilitating the hiring manager in organising any selection process / trial days as required
  • When required, negotiating salaries in line with the Specsavers Guidelines and brokering the offer process with stores and candidates to ensure the best chance of Specsavers securing the appropriate individual
  • Maintaining the recruitment database accurately ensuring that a record of all communication is captured
  • Responsible for managing the rejection of all unsuitable applicants, using the applicant tracking system.
  • Dealing with all candidate queries regarding retail / apprenticeship vacancies
  • Completing the relevant reports in a timely and accurate manner
  • Dealing with ad-hoc administration tasks as and when required

 

2. Customer Focus                            

  • Providing a high level of candidate care, ensuring they are dealt with in a professional and engaging manner from their first point of contact through to placement.
  • Ensuring timely communication is deployed to candidates (e.g. rejection and interview confirmations)
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with store hiring managers / directors and manage issues, escalating as required
  • Deliver excellent customer service throughout the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Engaging with all stores in a region to ensure they are aware of the benefits of using the SRS retail service

 

3. Team

  • Working in a positive and constructive manner with the other members of SRS to ensure a professional, proactive and timely recruitment service is delivered to stores and candidates
  • Sharing details of relevant candidates and their requirements with members of the Employed Team where relevant
  • Supporting other members of the SRS team where requested.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to build strong client and candidate relationships
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong administration skills
  • Demonstrate a real motivation for delivering a high-volume recruitment administration service to stores
  • Be able to administer and manage a high-volume of vacancies, quickly prioritising key recruitment activity
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to interact credibly with people at all levels of seniority
  • Have excellent listening skills
