The Store

The store is located in a busy city centre surrounded by high street staples and quality shopping. The Bargate Quarter shopping, living and leisure development is due to open in 2020 and is across the road from the store. There are direct rail links to Birmingham, Manchester and London and an international airport (Eastleigh).

The practice runs a tight and energetic team with a very diverse customer base. Specsavers Sothampton have 6 test rooms (all long form) and have a large contact lens database and deliver the local MECS for the NHS. The store is due for rebrand in the coming 12 months and we have Specsavers equipment in rooms. Phoropter heads are installed and we would consider any specific equipment requirements.

About us….and you

Our Optometrists provide eye examinations and a contact lens service that meet high clinical standards as well as strict NHS guidelines.  Equally, they provide every customer with clear advice and the peace of mind that comes with being in expert hands. To be part of our team, you’ll need to provide the same unique blend of customer care and professional excellence – which will make a big impact on the store’s overall success.

As a professional, you’ll be an expert at putting people at ease and welcoming customers with a naturally personable approach. You will talk customers through the eye examination process and talk through their options with them. What’s more, you must be passionate about what you do with an aptitude for organisation – which means you keep accurate records and always have up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in your field.
