If so, we have an exciting position for you as our new Commercial Project Manager leading the delivery of projects and change initiatives within Specsavers/Louis Nielsen’s Northern European region (covering Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands).

 

What you’ll do                                                                                                

As our new Commercial Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering cross-functional projects and programmes on time and on budget, in order to support our strategic and annual business plans. This includes leading project teams, applying appropriate project management tools and methods and liaising closely with key stakeholders across the business. You will be part of the Commercial PMO team and report to the Head of Projects and Portfolio.

More specifically, your job tasks will be to:

  • Compile the scope of the projects, plan out business cases, critical paths, key milestones, outcome metrics, resource requirements, and risk analysis
  • Lead cross-functional project teams
  • Monitor projects on a continual basis and providing  updates to project sponsors and board members when required
  • Manage project costs and timely delivery of the project benefits, effectively resolving issues and removing barriers
  • Develop the change management plan to ensure successful implementation of the project, using Specsavers’ change management framework
  • Carry out project reviews to evaluate the success of projects and the key business learnings
  • Work with the Northern Europe Leadership group and other senior team leaders to support annual planning activities
  • Work closely with IT Project Management team to ensure alignment of business plans
  • Advise other areas of the business on Project Management best practice

 

Who you are

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager who is ready to take responsibility for some of the key commercial projects and programmes  across our Northern European markets. To accommodate this, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Hold a proven track record of delivering change within a complex organisation
  • Be a strong communicator with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
  • Have project and programme experience from a fast-moving commercial environment
  • Hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Be Prince 2 qualified (or have similar project management qualifications)
  • Sound understanding of business priorities and commercial disciplines
  • IT literate (knowledge of retail applications such as; ERP functionality, MS Office etc. is a plus)
