Optical Assistant

This practice in South Manchester has recently had a brand-new refit and has increased from 3 to 5 test rooms. Due to this growth they are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant with supervisory experience and the willingness to progress for a role as a Trainee Practice Manager

Full time position 0900 – 1730
Working 1 weekend day each week
Will be provided with excellent training and access to outstanding development courses
£18,000 – £22,000
Fast track to practice management in 12 months

Trainee Practice Manager Position

A very exciting opportunity for an experienced optical assistant / supervisor who wants to take the next step in their career and have a fast track into practice management. You will help to lead a busy team in a 5 test room practice. You will be given excellent 1-2-1 training and will be in a position to take over as practice manager in 12 months.

Responsibilities of the Trainee Practice Manager

Your role will be to help lead the team from the front. You will be on the shop floor making sales and coaching your teams and ensuring customer service standards are maintained. You will be dispensing, conducting pre-screens, offering advice, staff management, trouble shooting and dealing with any customer issues.

Requirements of Trainee Practice Manager

The ideal person will have a good level of experience within optics and strong personal skill set. You will be ambitious and hardworking and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
Compensation for the Trainee Practice Manager

For your efforts a competitive salary of £18,000 – £22,000 is on offer. You will need to be work between 9:00-5:30pm Mon to Fri and at least one weekend day.
